GitHub
Connect public repositories with no credential, or private and internal ones through the ThunderCode GitHub App.
Install the App
- Open Integrations and choose Install GitHub App.
- Authorize on GitHub and select the organizations or repositories to grant.
- You are returned to ThunderCode with the installation recorded. Repositories load automatically.
If you authorize the App but have installed it nowhere, ThunderCode shows not installed and links to the App's install page.
Permissions
The App reads Metadata, Contents and Pull requests to fetch the diff, and writes pull-request reviews, comments and check runs to publish results. It never modifies your code or branches. ThunderCode never asks for or stores a GitHub user token in the browser, and the installation is always derived from your authenticated tenant.
Automatic reviews
When a pull request is opened, reopened, marked ready for review or updated, ThunderCode reviews it automatically (configurable per repository with auto_review in .thundercode.yaml). It posts inline comments, a summary and a check run with annotations. Re-reviews of new commits skip findings that were already posted. Replying to a ThunderCode comment starts a short threaded conversation.
Pull requests
Select a connection to list open pull requests (paginated), then review one. The diff is fetched through ThunderCode's controlled egress path, bounded by size.
Pull-request commands
Comment on a PR with a line that starts with the App mention followed by a command: review, full review, pause, resume, resolve, summary, configuration, help, generate docstrings, generate unit tests. Quoted lines and mentions in prose are ignored. Any other text becomes a question answered from the review context.
